Pet Portraits...and the Donations to ASPCA

So I had a thought last night before falling asleep...and this is what I came up with. With every 5 pet portraits that I sell, I will donate $25 to the ASPCA. I was on their website (www.aspca.org) and felt an urge to try and make a difference to the animals that are in need. I truly feel that although pets are not your whole life, they make your life whole. Just give them your trust and a little bit of love, and they will be your best friend, no matter what. So I invite you to help me with this cause, visit my Etsy shop, tell your friends, and let's make a difference. Thank you!

Custom Painting

Had a great time working on this custom order. It's a biggie... 24x36 with acrylic paint. It has a very happy home now.

First Friday Super fun

Had a great night with the First Friday event last night for Morning Times Market. Near the beer tent, in front of Raleigh Times Bar, lots of artists, fun people (Mom, sister and her friends, Shannon, Michael and Sean...thanks for your support and love!) made it a truly lovely evening. I can't wait for next month, September 3.

The first time doing a show at night was fun...especially since I could hang my Christmas lights!! Funny how a little bit of light can set a mood to party, drink and buy art! :)

Raleigh Wide Open and upcoming events

Raleigh Wide Open was a good time! Despite the rainy weather, I was entertained by an interesting parade and was placed right next to the German Pastry booth...ooo how good the aroma was.

Next on the list is the Morning Times Market this Friday from 6-9pm, downtown on Hargett Street. It's their first time doing this so I am really looking forward to it and seeing how it goes.

Have worked a lot on my gift bags/wrap...with hand-stamped bags and boxes...I just hope I can use them for happy customers! :) Also, I am excited to see the reaction to some earrings I created (my first time trying out jewelry making) so we'll see what the response is.
