Merry Christmas everybody

Well, I don't know about you, but I ate way too much yesterday. It was a great Christmas. I really hope to hear some stories from my customers about how much their recipient enjoyed their custom order. I have heard of two happy stories so far, and look forward to hearing more. Thank you so much!

I wish everyone a fun and joyous New Years celebration! Cheers to the New Year!

Here are some portraits and gifts that were opened across the country this Christmas...

The new Website!

I had a wonderful designer re-do my website and let me tell you...I am so happy with it! She did an awesome job. Not only was she super efficient and ahead of schedule, but she really listened to me and what I wanted. About fours ago, I designed it myself and although it was OK, I realized that there were no photos or references to my pet portraits, or any recent work for that matter. So she gave it a face lift! She does other design too and you can find out more about her and see her talents on her site: http://www.seednouveau.com/.  I hope you like the new site just as much as I do. Woohoo!!

Gift Cards for the Holidays!

Gift Cards for the Holidays! Wrapped with love and care, for your loved ones. I technically had my holiday cut-off on November 5th, but I still wanted to give my customers the opportunity to give a gift full of love this season. So with gift cards, your loved one can "open" up a gift and receive the actual painting, or handmade craft, a few weeks later. I'd love to hear from you and get his gift card created for you! See more on my Etsy shop: www.amyscreativecorner.etsy.com.

Thank you and shop Etsy this Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

Cary Magazine Local Artists

Hot off the press...the latest issue of Cary Magazine with a section on local artists, including Amy's Creative Corner! Woohoo!!! This was my first time in a magazine, not including ads that I pay for, so this was a big and very happy deal for A.C.C. There are other great artists in this issue too, so pick one up today.

Also, they added an awesome "meet the artist" section on their website where they give a little blurb about all the artists in the magazine. Here it is: Cary Magazine online

Ordering for the Holidays

It's that time of year...can you believe it?!

The orders of pet portraits for Christmas gifts have been coming in, which is awesome. Just a word to anyone out there who is considering placing an order for a Holiday gift, please make your order before November 5 to ensure it is created, shipped and delivered before the Holidays. I can certainly get them done after that, but I'll add a small rush fee.

To my wonderful repeat customers and to those who are thinking about ordering, I'd like to extend an offer to you that may help you out a little this time of year. Enjoy 10% off any item, including pet portraits, in my Etsy shop. Just use the coupon code: THANKYOU10 in the checkout process.

Give the gift that will make someone else smile and hopefully cry with joy! Sounds somewhat weird of me, but when I make someone cry because of my work, I know I was successful. :)

Weiner Dog Day in Carrboro: Donation

Congrats to the winner of the item I donated to the Third Annual Weiner Dog Day on the lawn in Carrboro, on Weaver Street! It was to benefit the Almost Home Dachshund Rescue Society (AHDRS). You can find out more about this organization on their site: AHDRS. The event was co-sponsored by Phydeaux pet shop. Unfortunately, I could not attend the event, but I'd like to check out this Weaver Street Market situation sometime soon, seems like a good time!

Second Chance Pet Adoptions Furry 5k

Amy's Creative Corner will be attending the first annual Second Chance Pet Adoptions Furry 5K Run & 2K Walk, to be held Saturday, November 3rd at Fred G. Metro Park in Cary as a vendor!

The run is to benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions. This awesome organization helps find loving homes for abandoned or stray dogs and cats. Second Chance was the first no-kill animal rescue organization in the Triangle. They have provided many services to homeless animals and have helped countless strays find loving and safe permanent homes. All of their dogs are kept in foster homes, giving the organization the chance to train and socialize each dog and better place them in a new home. The proceeds from the Furry 5K will go to to raise money for the homeless animals that Second Chance saves. In addition to the 5K, there will be a 2K dog walk, and a 1K senior dog walk.

You can sign up today to enter the 5k or make a donation. There will be a lot of other great vendors and sponsors at this event, including: Phydeauxpets, PetCo Foundation, Aussie Pet Mobile, and Care First Animal Hospital. Come out and support this great cause and get some fresh air with your little ones.

Find out more about the event by visiting the Second Chance Pet Adoptions website.
