This Memorial weekend was my third annual trip to Ocracoke Island. If you've never gone before, I highly recommend it. It's a little treasure...wayyyyy out on the outer banks of North Carolina. It's a very small and unique little island full of little gems...and I tried to capture some of them for you.

International Sale to Taiwan was a success!

I was thrilled that a customer found Amy's Creative Corner on Etsy.com and purchased two custom pet portraits. He told me that both portraits are of his cats who have passed away and he wanted something to remember them by. I shipped it off and it was delivered successfully. His words of feedback were just delightful...

"I received portraits last friday. They fly around the world and finally arrived Taiwan! when I see the portraits , I feel like my cats come back to me.I really love it! love their bright eyes. Animals in Costume Art Show at Revolver Consignment

On Sunday, April 15, I had my art show at Revolver Consignment! I painted 8 different animals dressed in costume... a pig wearing a tiera, a lizard in a top hat, etc. Another crafty gal, Marilyn Tilley, set up her handmade accessories and we had local food and drink available. Pavlov's Dogs came out with their hot dog stand, which was a big hit. We had a local brew master donate a keg of awesomely delicious beer. We had Best Friend Pet Adoption group there taking donations, too. It was a good time.

I was hoping for more people, but with the weather being so beautiful outside that day and it being two days before taxes being due, I understand that peoples' minds were elsewhere. :) And that's okay. They are still up on display, so take a peek today! I am thinking these would make cool prints to put my Etsy shop, too.

Artwork displayed at West Cary Animal Hospital

These pet portraits are now displayed at the West Cary Animal Hospital. I've been taking my dog, Mya, to this hospital since she was just a puppy. And just in case you were wondering...as I am sure you were...she will be turning 5 tomorrow!!! Great Vet and staff there. Grateful that they gave me the opportunity to display some artwork!

Woof Gang Bakery custom orders and Etsy shop

Now on my Etsy shop: Plott Hound puppy and Three little Pigs painting print. This original painting won Honorable Mention at the "Southern Menagerie" exhibit at the Raleigh Convention Center. The original painting was sold, but the prints are available for purchase. They are printed on high quality photo matte paper and framed in a 8x8 size frame. Makes a great gift!

Woof Gang Bakery at North Hills in Raleigh has been reeling in the customers, which is awesome!! Here are a few custom pet portraits I painted for those customers. I love when the customers send me photos of their beloved painting hanging on their wall! Thanks for your support. :)
