Artwork on display at Open Door Yoga in downtown Raleigh, NC

Super excited for Open Door Yoga studio in downtown Raleigh, NC, for displaying a few pieces of work of mine for a couple of months.  They rotate local artists every few months, which is awesome! All of my pieces on display are also on my Etsy shop, but if you're in town, see something you like, just send me a message if you'd like to purchase it and take it home from the studio.  yeager@amyscreativecorner.com.

If you are local, consider trying out this studio, it is really quite lovely.  They offer a wide range of classes including hot yoga, kettle bell classes, and retreats.  They are located on Johnson St., just off St. Mary's St. in downtown Raleigh.  A really beautiful studio with great teachers and owner, Monica Shannon.

Reflective paper and some new techniques in NC

Hello friends! 

Well, it's the new year, 2019.  I am back in Cary, North Carolina for the time being.  While I've been here, I have tried out some new experiments! 

I thought I'd see what happened if I painted directly onto metallic/reflective stock paper...and here are some of the results...  

Honey Bee, painted on canvas paper, cut out, and laid upon gold foil, reflective paper.  My two fingers in the reflection...

Awww, little kitty! 12x12 size, all of them framed and ready to hang on your wall.

Here is a video of the kitty painting to see how cool the paper looks...the look of the painting is always changing, along with you.

And two red cardinals.  I swear, since I've been back in North Carolina, the cardinals have been trying to get my attention.  I love watching them fly around and talk to each other.  

Reading up on facts about these birds was really interesting, too.  Did you know? That male cardinals fly into windows so much because when they see a reflection in the window, they think it's a competitor and so they go after them...but they fly into themselves instead! :(

And I have not forgotten about my good ol' canvas.  Here are some of the latest on canvas...

But have you heard of Kambo?!  In Austin, TX, I had the great opportunity to try a Kambo Ceremony for an intense detox.  It was really therapeutic for me personally, and felt so strongly about the power of the frogs medicine, that I wanted to paint it.

I created Downloadable, Printable Gift Certificates for those who would prefer to allow their gift recipients more control over which pet photo to use and which background color they'd prefer.  Not to mention, if you happen to be short on time, but still want to give a meaningful gift, these instant downloads are the perfect option for you.  

They are great for birthday gifts, Christmas or Hanukkah gifts, just because gifts, in memory of gifts, etc.  

On my Etsy shop, you can choose from a few different canvas size options.  All listing prices include: the downloadable gift certificate (which prints to a 8.5x11 size sheet of paper), the actual painting, and shipping for the U.S. recipient.

You can print it out and get creative with how you present the gift to your recipient.  You could simply fold it into an envelope and add a nice little ribbon around it.

Spring Sale and Some Big Changes!

Hello dearest customers,

It has been quite a while since my last post.  I have been busy painting custom pet portraits and have recently completed my 500 hours of Massage Therapy School! I received my license and am working on my website for my business that I am starting. Very exciting times!!

Although I am beginning a new journey with my massage therapy business, I will not put my artwork to the side. I very much enjoy painting custom pet portraits and will continue to take orders online.  I will also plan to give myself more creative time to paint my own original pieces...and perhaps they won't be little doggies!

As we begin this first day of Spring for 2017, I want to share with you some Spring Clearance Items on my Etsy shop.  These are heavily reduced items that I have held onto for a bit and want to help them have a new home. It is no fun being a little print of an original painting, just sitting cramped in a file cabinet!  So to get these guys out and onto a nice new wall, I have decreased their prices.
