Artwork for sale at La Di Dogs

Wow!! Big things are happening in Amy's Creative Corner. The very kind owner of La Di Dogs pet boutique in Cameron Village has allowed me to display (and hopefully sell!) some of my pet portraits. She is also taking orders for custom portraits in her very cute store for me. AND I am very excited about this Saturday from 12-3, when I will be set up outside her store for a "Meet the Artist" event. I will be doing a raffle for someone to win a FREE custom pet portrait too! This will be perfect for a Valentine's Day Gift. Here are some photos of the inside of La Di Dogs!

Mural at Mosaic Church in Cary, NC

So glad that I was invited to paint murals at a lovely little church in Cary called Mosaic. I am almost done with all four rooms and hallway. Here are some images of what I have done so far. HOW TO: Pendant Necklace

So happy that my very first instructional video is complete. In this video, I demo how to make a pendant necklace. A big THANKs to Michelle Mohr for her mad skill in recording and editing!!

Giving Barrettes a try...and I like it!

I don't care if a little 5 year old girl should be the one wearing these...they make me smile! Cute little barrettes are now up on my Etsy shop.

Change of Plans....And More Custom orders

So, like many across our nation, I was laid off last week from my graphic design/training course development job. At first, I was upset and wondered what was next for me...how will I make money?!? A few tears later, I realized this may be a blessing...I could focus my heart and soul into my business and grow Amy's Creative Corner.

And so I have! I have been working hard to promote my work, making new flyers, adding pieces to my Etsy shop, and other ways of getting my name out there. I have worked on a few custom orders since last week, including some gifts for my friend Ashlie's baby shower. I created "Thank You" stationery and a monogrammed baby blanket for her unborn baby girl, Hayden.

Newest Item...necklaces!

So I spent about an hour in http://www.ornamentea.com/ in downtown Raleigh (very cool store!) and purchased the parts needed to create the newest item that was brewing in my brain the other night when I couldn't fall asleep. Why not take the photos of the custom pet portraits, put them in little pendants, cover them with resin, make the chain and wear it out and about?!? These make me so happy!!
